Stacked!

Hello everyone!!!

IT HAS BEEN AN AWESOME WEEK!

First of all we learned how to make tortillas and my tortillas all inflated which apparently means that I am ready to be married or would make a good wife or something. I am just ready to take my tortilla making skills and use it to start my own tortilla making business and take over the world but I guess we will see.

We also saw so many miracles this week! First of all JAVIER AND VIVANNA CAME TO CHURCH! We have been teaching Javier off and on the past few weeks but it has been really hard because he cant come to church since he works but a week or so ago they came to the mothers day party and loved it and then they just showed up at church this week and I literally almost fell over it was amazing and they loved it. They didn't stay the full three hours but they said they would "next time" which means they will be coming again #YAS #MIRACLES

Sister Neahusan and I have also decided to really step up our game this transfer and it has been so awesome! We are not perfect obviously but we both really want to improve and be so much more. I love being comps with Sister Neahusan because she always pushes me to be so much better and to work so hard. She is also just a great missionary and I learn a ton from her everyday. We have been working on FEARING NO MAN which means just talking to everyone we see and being super accountable to our goals and we have talked to so many people this last week and found so many solid people that we will hopefully start teaching this coming week! The Lord really does bless us when we put in all our effort. All I know is I want to go out with a bang and Sister Neahusan is definitely helping me do that!

We had some great lessons with Angel this week who is GETTING SO CLOSE UGH I LOVE HIM! And some other stuff happened this week?

I honestly am blanking but trust me it was a great week.

I love being a missionary everyone!! It is hard and it is getting HOT (what is 100+ degrees??) but there is no place I would rather be. I want to run to the tape and give this everything I've got. I'm so grateful to be in the zone I'm in because to quote everyone it is "stacked". It is about to really get pumping up here in Gilbert folks and I cant wait to see it happen. We become consecrated missionaries/individuals when we give it all to the Lord, when we lay all we have on the altar of sacrifice and that is what I want to do.

I love you all!

CRAZY!

Exchanges with Sister Panter
Crazy week everyone. Crazy week.

First of all...the Gilbert 11th branch is now the GILBERT 11TH WARD!!! Ah look at us growing!! It was so cool to be a part of it and I know its just going to skyrocket even more!

It's also exciting because transfer news came in and I will be staying in Gilbert with Sister Neahusan! I am so pumped to get to work with her another transfer. She is such an amazing missionary and I have learned so much from her. She really pushes me to be better.

But also SOS the mosquitoes are eating us alive. We have become friends with this like actual witch (I'm talking about like shes got books and pots and LOTS of weird stuff in her house) and she made us something to stop them (not a potion but some essential oil stuff) but yeah that was a weird moment.....

We also have become pro cockroach killers. They are in our house and they are so gross and straight up from Satan. I would rather face 10,000 mosquitoes than another 3 inch long cockroach.

We had a sweet miracle this week though finding a new investigator! We had set up an appointment with her husband and then showed up and he wasn't there but his wife, Lilly was! We were like "Oh sorry could we come back another time?" and she was like "I have 15 minutes right now!" and let us in and they have the cutest family!! We didn't want to take a lot of time so we just simply bore our testimonies of how the message of the restoration blesses our families and invited her to find out for herself. Lilly was straight up like "this sounds awesome!" (but in Spanish obv). MIRACLES!

We also went out to the Mesa Visitors Center this last week with Angel before it closes for the next few years! The spirit was so strong and the temple as always was so beautiful! We invited him to be baptized AND HE DIDNT SAY NO! He is getting closer! He also told us that if he had to drive out to NY or NV for us to be there he would. I love him! He went to the new member fireside too and one of the speakers was straight up for him! All of his concerns, thoughts, everything! It was just like YOU ARE READY GOSH DANG IT! but all in the Lords time obv.

ALSO IN A CRAZY TWIST OF EVENTS! KATIE SURPRISED ME! I thought we were just going out to lunch and then BOOM Katie appears behind me. So fun to see her, didn't really make me miss home (no offense love you all). Im happy where I am.

Funny moment of the week! Sister Neahusan and I have been doing Fear NO MAN days! Where we literally just try to talk to anything that has a pulse and we found 1)a Buffalo Bills fan named Shaun who wasn't interested 2)this lady named Chris that was super pumped to go to church. They all live in the APs area so we set up a time to go over with them to give her the info. So the next day we are standing at the door waiting for Chris to answer with the APs (she didn't answer which is a bummer) and the neighbors step out of their apartment. We let the Aps talk to them since it was their area and we were standing in the corner writing a note when the people are like "oh we are from Mexico" and the APs looked at us and we liked leapt from the shadows to talk to them. Their faces were 100% hilarious. They were like blasted by missionaries lol

But yeah great week! Love you all! in the final 12 weeks (WHATTTTTTT)

Shout out to all the Moms out there

I (Mindi) got these pictures sent to me on Mother's Day!

Hello everyone! I'd like to start out by giving a shoutout to my mom for being awesome and raising an amazing daughter (Micah you are the most righteous of us all). Mindi - you are the MVP and thank you for putting up with me all these years even though I probably cost you a lot of money and headaches ( :) ).

But yeah! I got to talk to the fam yesterday which was so fun and awesome and I love them! They inspire me to work hard and when I get home I'm gonna make sure we all read our scriptures together every night as a family (Mom there is hope for us).

It was a great week though! The North continues to somewhat baffle me but I am working through it and trying (and usually failing) to be the best I can. Luckily I know HF is there! When I first came up North I was so excited because there are some trees and grass...LIKE I MISSED THE COLOR GREEN EVERYONE! but now they have tragically turned against me. I have developed.....allergies. I thought that it was just what my dad had when he bore his testimony at the pulpit but it is not so. Sneezing and I have become constant friends and luckily I have only had one emergency bloody nose in the car (stuffing newspaper up your nose is not fun even if your comp crumpled it). Combined with the triple digit weather we have now hit I am so ready to go out and WORK AS HARD AS I CAN! BRING IT AZ!!! (although today was a nice and chilly 95 degrees so more of those would be awesome #blessings) (also we played soccer today and I am limping everywhere because I ate dirt)

This week I got to go on exchanges with Hermana Panter! This is her first transfer so it was so fun to go out and see miracles. I remember that my first exchange really impacted me and helped me learn and grow a lot! We found the most solid investigator for them too! Her name is Lorena and literally so prepared! We ended up just focusing on prayer with her and her daughter and the spirit was so strong - and then she came to the ward party that night too!!! OH YEAH I GOT TO GO BACK SOUTH AND IT WAS AWESOME! I MISSED THE DIRT ROADS AND MY PEOPLE OF QUEEN CREEK! I went to their mothers day party and they were like "HERMANA! You are back!" and I was like "No! Just here for the day!" and it was tragic. I love the Queen Creek Ward so much! They will always have a special place in my heart <3

The work is growing little by little here and I have truly come to love all the people we get to work with. We have exchanges here next transfer but I'm hoping to stay. I know I can help this area, and more importantly these people, even more but we will see what HF says about that.

I love being a missionary everyone! I will be home in 3 months and I can't believe it! It makes me sad and excited! This is the greatest work ever!

His Plan >

It has been one of those weeks that is really hard but also one where you really see Heavenly Father bless you.

I guess my big takeaway from this week is that God really does have a plan for us. It is different than our plan sometimes, it is greater than we could ever imagine and it takes a lot of trust to accept it but His plan is perfect. I am so grateful that I get to share that with people everyday!

We had a solid week though overall with finding people to teach!! We got this referral for this man named Juan Carlos and were able to have a lesson with him.... HE IS SO SOLID! He has all these questions and loves church and everything! He soft committed to baptism if he found the gospel to be true and came to church this Sunday! We also found 4 other investigators too which is SUCH a blessing and we're able to see some others that it has been difficult to get in with! I am so grateful for the Lord and His tender mercies!

On a more tragic note for those that have been following Fergies health - we officially pronounced her dead yesterday and decided that people would be better off trusting us with their souls instead of their plants #RIPfergie2018

We also got to do a specialized sisters training meeting this past week! All the sisters in the mission got together and we got to talk about different challenges and problems and just really build each other up! IT WAS AWESOME AND SO FUN! I didn't get to go to the other trainings as Sister Shaffer and I were doing one but I heard they were all awesome and I will always be so grateful to be a part of the smallest mission ever haha.

And interviews!!!! I LOVE INTERVIEWS! My zone leaders hate when I have interviews because I am notorious for going over lol. It is my time with president so I am going to use it and stretch it as much as I can. Total I only went over about 30 minutes so it could have been worse. He just is full of so much advice and love, I just always leave so edified!

I also went on exchanges with Sister Fuimaono this week! So fun to be companions for the day again! It was a short exchange but so worth it and I totally passed on my new Soadalicious addiction to her so there is that... it was a bummer that no one really was home but we left pumped for sure!

I love being a missionary everyone! Time is ticking down, today is my 15 month mark and I want to give it all I got! Thank you for the support and love it means a lot! Keep being awesome!
